Relationships Within An Agency

It's commonly believed that to become a successful agency, you need talented individuals who know what they're doing.
However, it's also crucial to recognise that the internal relationships within a business hold equal value, if not more.
As part of my GCSE employability topic at school, I had to find a work placement that interested me; however, being unsure of what I would like to do in the future left me confused. When the opportunity to dive into the world of managing a business came up at Abstrakt, I thought it'd be a great chance to learn and gain clarity on my future career. I've come to realise that what happens here is definitely something of interest to me, and now I can confidently say that I've enjoyed learning about the inner workings of it all.
During my week of work experience, I have been exposed to an exceptionally functioning work dynamic in an office of 8 people. Not only have I been able to understand how everyone's roles work hand in hand, but I have also been given the opportunity to directly experience just how impactful a smoothly operating agency really is.
Just in these past five days, I have noticed that there is a continuous “flow” throughout the office, which is then in turn directed towards clients. There is mutual respect, cooperation and high appreciation between everyone, which I have grown to admire massively. This good energy in the office holds significant importance, as it is what allows everyone to work comfortably and efficiently. No one is in anyone's space; people help each other out, and overall, everyone helps create an enjoyable environment to work in.
Although I know it isn't going to be perfect all the time, I truly think that the regard everyone has for each other is reflected in the work that is produced. Through getting to know each employee here, I've been able to see the websites that Abstrakt deliver, and they're stunning! It's evident that a lot of effort and thought goes into them, which wouldn't be possible without the accomplished dynamic in the office. These internal relationships lay the foundation for building a loyal and trustworthy connection with the clients.
Abstrakt like to call themselves “an extension of the customers team” rather than just an agency they are working with, which I think perfectly describes their attitude towards delivering high quality products. A key pillar in the business is clearly creating solid relationships with the consumers, which I think is highly commendable and what sets them apart from others.
By forming these bonds with clients, they are able to demonstrate that money is not their sole objective, but instead, it is prioritising the customer's needs and making them feel comfortable. Again, this wouldn't be attainable without respect within the office, as this connection between the employees is evidently reflected in how they work with other companies.
To wrap up, I have thoroughly enjoyed my week at Abstrakt and have the utmost respect for everyone here. I have learned just how important these internal and external relationships are and have witnessed the direct impact of being in a smoothly operating office.

From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed by everyone, which has really made me feel comfortable here, and I honestly feel like I have learned so much due to everyone being so willing to help. I've learnt a lot about the inner workings of an agency and how forming trustworthy connections with people is very important, and for that I'm very grateful.
